For The Living Earth is the musical collaboration of Galen Hefferman & Jahnavi Veronica
They weave their songs together with haunting vocal harmonies, plucked and bowed strings, percussion, and the willing voices of those who show up – creating soundscapes rooted in dreams and communications with nature.
For The Living Earth seeks to create songs that can be a balm for challenging times, to transform and revive, and to open to a full hearted life, twisting the fibers of the dream world and the waking world into one, speaking from the underground rivers that feed the springs that jump forth from wild, willed places.
They make music as a way to give gifts to all who hear them, to the land they stand on, and to the clear stars above.
Jahnavi Veronica and Galen Hefferman joined their songs and lives in 2018 and have been making music together ever since. Their dream is to keep creating in the intersections of music, art, storytelling, live performance, group singing, ceremony, tending land and gardens, community care, and finding ways to feed the living Earth in it all... (bicycle tour coming up soon!) They are currently based in Oregon.
